Sustainable timber
At New Leaf Windows and Doors we are proud of our ethical approach to the use of sustainable timber in our natural wood product ranges. The demand worldwide for cheap hardwood is the prime cause of destructive logging in the rainforests of many countries, and results in deforestation in many others. It is harmful to the planet, and furthermore it is completely unnecessary, as there are now many reputable sources of sustainable timber from many countries.
We work closely with manufacturers to ensure that wherever possible, New Leaf products are sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified suppliers. In addition, we aim to achieve full chain of custody for all the natural timber used in the doors and windows we supply and fit.
